Realme CEO Madhav Sheth said earlier that the phone will come to the country in the second half of 2019, and has now changed his Twitter name to ‘Madhav X’ which seems to suggest the Realme X’s imminent launch in India. It now seems the company could be tying the launch of the Realme X with the release of Spider-Man: Far From Home to build some hype.As per a report by 91Mobiles, Realme is collaborating with Marvel’s upcoming Spider-Man: Far From Home movie for the Realme X. The collaboration will see a special Spider-Man-themed Realme X case that could be sold is bundled special edition box or separately. Spider-Man: Far From Home will hit theaters in India on July 4, which suggests that Realme X could launch soon after.The Realme X was first announced in May to mark the company’s entry in China. It touts a bezel-less, notch-less AMOLED display with a pop-up selfie camera and a Snapdragon 710 chipset. Sheth confirmed that the Indian variant of the Realme X may launch with some different hardware as it will be priced higher than the Realme 3 Pro at around Rs 18,000.It is speculated that the company will launch the Realme X in India with a Snapdragon 730 processor to justify its higher price tag. It may come with a few more upgrades, but nothing is known as of now.The Realme X sports a 6.5-inch FHD+ (2340×1080) AMOLED display and a 3D curved glasstic rear panel. The pop-up camera houses a 16-megapixel sensor. On the back, the Realme X features a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 primary camera along with a 5-megapixel secondary camera for depth sensing. The device houses a 3,765mAh battery and supports VOOC 3.0 flash charging.
