Man dies in motel fire

first_imgROSEMEAD – Firefighters found a man’s body in a burning motel room early Tuesday and investigators are trying to determine what caused the death, authorities said. Larry Lincoln, a homicide detective for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. “We’re trying to see if it’s criminal or accidental.” Lincoln said deputies at about 5 a.m. spotted a fire coming from room 263 at the Motel 6 at 1001 San Gabriel Blvd. in Rosemead. After firefighters put down the blaze, they discovered the body inside, Lincoln said. Lincoln said the age and identity of the man who died are still not known.
